Nicky Buggs returns to 12:53 Entertainment having recently directed Towonda’s hit musical, Cheezecake Boiz and the Diva. Nicky is at home with all genres of entertainment but is especially expert at directing. Some of her stage directing credits are: Once on This Island; Dreamgirls; and A Raisin in the Sun. Acting is another passion, and you may remember her as Cuba Gooding, Jr.’s wife in the film Firelight. Other film credits include: Fighting Temptations; The Secret Life of Bees with Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Dakota Fanning, and Jennifer Hudson; and Marry Me, starring Lucy Liu. She has recurring roles on television shows such as Army Wives; Power and The Vampire Diaries.

Nicky has a strong foundation as a technically trained dancer and cheerleading. Co-Director of the regionally celebrated Atlanta Chiefs Cheerleaders was a dancer with the world-renowned NFL Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Having performed in several Super Bowls and Playoff Championship games, Nicky was also a member of the notable NBA Dallas Mavericks Dancers, as well as the Captain of the Dallas Desperados Arena Football Cheerleaders. Nicky is a native of Manhattan, New York who has also choreographed for leagues such as the NBA, NFL and AFL. She began her dance training with DTH and ultimately received multiple scholarships with Alvin Ailey, Gus Giordano, Tremaine, LA Dance Force and a few other revered and acclaimed companies
